This technique is used to limit the moisture content of sawn timber to 18%. Our vacuum timber dryer has a capacity of 40 m3. Drying is used to improve the dimensional stability of the wood and increase its mechanical strength.
This method is also used to sterilise wood and prevent the transfer of any undesirable microorganisms or the appearance of blue-staining.
